Genemasters

Genemaster was developed as a composite breed. It is based on a foundation of three-eighths Kiko and five-eighths Boer. As the hybrid offspring of a fullblood Boer and a purebred Kiko, the breed will retain a portion of the original hybrid vigor over the next several generations. To be registered as Genemasters, the offspring of a registered fullblood Boer female and a registered purebred Kiko male will qualify as well as the reverse of Kiko female and Boer male.

From The IKGA

American BoKi

This classification recognizes a specific cross between an American Premier Purebred Kiko (or New Zealand Fullblood Kiko) and a Fullblood Boer (or registered 15/16 Boer or higher). The BoKi is of particular interest to owners of Boer goats who are adding Kiko influence to their herd. Proof of registration must be submitted for the Boer Registry of the Boer parent when registering a BoKi with the IKGA.

• Sire and dam, of the goat being registered, must be either a registered American Premier Purebred Kiko (or New Zealand Fullblood Kiko) OR a Fullblood Boer (or registered 15/16 Boer or higher).

• Note: Sire (and dam) can be either Kiko or Boer
• Note: Both bucks and does can be registered in this classification
• Note: If the sire and dam of a goat are BoKis, the goat can be registered as a BoKi.

Please note on the photo below the large frame, extensive fleshing and well developed horn growth on the Genemasters at 120 days. The Purebred Boer Buck on the right is 155 days old.
